Dr. Eng. Ayu Purwarianti is a distinguished academic and leader in the field of artificial intelligence, currently serving as the Researcher of the Artificial Intelligence Center at the Bandung Institute of Technology. She is also a lecturer in Electrical & Informatics Engineering at the same institution. Her academic journey includes earning a Doctorate in Engineering from the Doctoral Program in Information and Computer Science at Toyohashi University of Technology, Japan, which underscores her deep expertise in her field.

Dr. Ayu's research is primarily focused on artificial intelligence, natural language processing, and machine learning, areas in which she has made significant contributions. She is a co-founder of Prosa.ai, a company that leverages AI technologies to advance natural language processing capabilities. Her work includes initiatives like NusaCrowd, an open-source project for Indonesian NLP resources, and IndoNLU, a benchmark for evaluating Indonesian natural language understanding.
